Forklift Certification

David is a Registered Forklift Trainer and is a Competenz Industry Training Organisation (ITO) Registered Assessor, allowing him to offer "Approved Forklift Training Courses". The Forklift Certification allows forklift operators to be able to operate in the workplace in a safe and efficient manner through meeting basic safety requirements. At Platinum Driver Training all Forklift trainers are registered with Work Safe and Competenz Industry Training Organisation. The Forklift Certification requires renewal every 3 years.

Commercial Road Transport Certificates

This is a more advanced course for those already working in the Road Transport Industry. It involves a series of seminars and an in cab session. Courses cover meeting legal obligations, heavy vehicle dynamics, fuel efficient driving techniques, driving hazard detection and management and health & safety training.

Courses include: Heavy Rigid Vehicle Driver, Heavy Combination Vehicle Driver and Log Truck Driver. These courses are NZQA approved unit standard based courses administered by Motor Industry Training Organisation (MITO).

Driver Evaluations

All types of driver evaluations can be conducted by Platinum Driver Training. These include pre-employment drives, post incident, general evaluations through to a much more advanced "Roadtrain Operator" report. Evaluations can be from 40 minutes up to 1/2 day depending on type and can cover both light and heavy vehicles.

Courses tailored to suit specific industry and company needs

Singular or a combination of training modules to meet client requirements covering all aspects of light or heavy motor vehicle operation. Courses can be unit standard based or non u/s based. These can also include Police Diversion Courses.

Road Ranger Transmission Training

Courses tailored to suit all drivers from beginners to more advanced operation. Courses cover theory behind correct operation and in cab training.

School Bus Driver LCP (Limited Credit Programme) Courses

These courses enable school bus organisations to meet their obligations for Ministry of Education contracts. Courses are unit standards based and are administered by MITO (NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation).
